Forest Lakes Veterans Wall of Honor

Over 100 Forest Lakes residents gathered at the Forest Lakes Community Center on Monday, May 30, 2016 for an important patriotic and solemn purpose to witness the raising of our American flag for the first time and to dedicate the new flag pole to the Veterans of Forest Lakes.

Memorial Day marks the day we commemorate the sacrifices of our real heroes in protecting us from enemies of our nation.  It is the day to remember those who died in the line of duty.

The flagpole that now stands in front of the Community Center lawn was dedicated to the faithful service of our Forest Lakes Veterans who have supported and defended our great nation, the United States of America.

A Veterans Wall of Honor was unveiled in the Community Center Meeting Room.

Many names were collected in advance of the dedication day.

It is an ongoing project.  If you are a Forest Lakes resident and a Veteran who has not yet provided your information for a plaque, you can do so by emailing Judy Nelson at info@floa.club.  Information needed is Name, Branch of Service, Dates served, Rank at end of duty.
