The fire district employs a full time Fire Chief.  On duty and Paid-on-call staff provides 24 hour, 7 days a week fire protection and emergency medical assistance.   Lots more information can be found on their website.

Located inside the Forest Lakes General Store during the Summer  season months when the store is open.  In the Winter months, they can be found at the Water District building on the SE corner of Merzville and Old Rim Road.

One Deputy is assigned to Forest Lakes and lives in the communitiy.  Some of the responsibilities of this district include: preventing crime, investigating crime, search & rescue missions, traffic accident investigation, traffic law enforcement and Game & Fish enforcement.  Website
