Scanner Radio Channel Reference

Anyone in Forest Lakes is encouraged to purchase a radio (they are available for $25 at the Library) or one of your choosing.

On Saturday's at 12p, a quick announcement is made to ensure you are tuned in properly and for any additional information which may be appropriate to share at the time.

In the event of a READY, SET, GO, the radios will be used to announce the stage. This helps reduce the workload on the first responders and ensure everyone is getting the word.

The radios will also be used during other times of the year to announce possible winter storms, road conditions, potential evacuations, etc. 

If you obtain a GMRS license, you can ask a question or share additional information.
